KEYnote/ Developing Personal Power at Trisakti

Jakarta, Indonesia - 27 November 2014. More than 70 environmental engineering students at Indonesia's Trisakti University in Jakarta joined Coach Wouter of TransformationFirst.Asia Pte Ltd in a conversation how to increase their personal power to become an influential change maker. The students explored the differences between positional and personal power, and differences in western and Asian leadership paradigms. They shared with Coach Wouter that the power of Indonesia's new President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stems from his humility, more than his positional power. The students were introduced to four practical models that they can apply every day to increase their personal power, and practiced in pairs how to lead with a coaching style (see photo). Coach Wouter also shared how they can join the South East Asian Youth Environment Network. The session was organized by Lecturer Ariani Dwi Astuti and led by Vice-Dean Hernani Yulinawati.
