ACTivity/ The LEADweek Challenge
/Manila, 6 March 2025 — How to consistently show up as a leader every day?
Story
It happened last week. Leaders earned their certification in the LEADweek Challenge. They took their leadership skills and turned them into daily habits. From showing up intermittently in earlier days, they transformed into leaders who showed up consistently every day. That transformation took just three weeks. More leaders are now following their example.
“A genius way to grow our leadership behaviors every day,” according to Fany Wedahuditama, regional director Asia-Pacific at Blue Ventures. “We need constant support from others to practice our leadership skills and behaviors every day until they become our habits.” Explains Fany, “By showing up every day for 5 to 10 minutes and continuously practicing reflection, we can sharpen our leadership.”
The power to transform comes from reflecting daily on practice with others. “We learn by making sense of our experience through reflection,” says Fany. During the challenge, he learned to share his experiences daily with fellow leaders in the Grow3Leaders community of practice. That collaboration works like an incubator, delivering results from learning together out loud.
Challenge
So how does the challenge deliver results? “It has been pushing me to reflect, grow, and continuously upgrade my leadership skills,” explains Arief Malleleang, a program coordinator at the Global Peace Foundation Indonesia. “It feels like journaling, but on another level. It has been a truly valuable experience, helping me to focus my leadership and stay aligned with my vision.”
“What begins as a structured practice develops into a daily routine that is supporting my journey as a leader,” shares Zaki Shubber, an international specialist in law, conflict management, and water systems. “The challenge is designed to build and maintain key leadership skills on a daily basis, with each day based on an important leadership theme.”
Participants in the LEADweek challenge share their reflections daily in a common space in the Grow3Leaders community of practice. “That daily exercise and the reading about the experience of others has helped me shape new habits,” says Zaki. Seeing the leaders transforming by practicing together is a remarkable and rewarding experience.
Question
How important is it for you to turn your leadership skills into daily habits and transform the way you show up as a leader from intermittent to consistent? For me, the answer is a no-brainer. That’s why I keep taking the LEADweek Challenge every day.
From the testimonials of Fany, Arief, and Zaki, the community host and mentors also realized that the LEADweek Challenge is a fast and fun way for members to familiarize themselves with fellow leaders in the Grow3Leaders community of practice. Why not put that to the test yourself? We would be thrilled to have you join us.
When you apply, we ask that you commit to spending 15 minutes in the community of practice every day using the app or web version. That’s your investment to grow as a leader. We also ask that you become a Collab Leader and commit to growing 3 leaders you invite from among your colleagues. That’s the ‘Ikigai’ of our community. You can invite your three colleagues either during or after you complete the LEADweek Challenge.
P.S. What drives us? Our vision is to grow more leaders, at speed and scale, for a more collaborative and sustainable world. You can apply to join us right away using our monthly membership plan. Alternately, we can invoice your business or organization if you want to bring a team or larger group of colleagues. Please reach out on LinkedIn if you have a question or set up a free strategy call.
