ACTivity/ The LEADcoach Challenge
/Ubud, 19 March 2025 — Learn how to lead more effectively in your workplace with the coaching style. We start on April 7th.
“A must-have for leaders of this generation.” — Telay Echano
Story
It happened over the past decade. Leaders who joined our programs found that the training in conducting coaching-style conversations scored very high as a practice they could use immediately in their workplace and outside. Learning the coaching style is becoming popular.
Unsurprisingly, using a coaching style in conversations is one of the twelve effective leadership behaviors we teach. The coaching style is “a must-have for leaders of this generation,” says Telay Echano, a country manager and Asia council chair for 2025 in her organization.
Telay graduated recently from The LEADcoach Challenge, one of the leadership challenges we offer in our Grow3Leaders community of practice. She took just three weeks to complete the challenge and earn her certification. Challenge graduates include Gen Z, Y, X, and Boomers.
Challenge
The first step of the challenge is adopting a coaching mindset. Coaching is markedly different from other forms of helping such as training, mentoring, and advising. As Telay shared, “I learned how to creatively probe in a non-threatening way. That instilled trust and confidence in my colleagues to speak up with their opinions and solutions.“
The second step in learning the coaching style is that you need to discover it experientially for yourself. We often mention the 70-20-10 rule of leadership development, where 70% comes through practice. In our two online workshops, you learn to practice three short-coaching styles, both as emerging coach and coachee. We are there to help you.
In the third step, you take your practice into your workplace where you will use the short coaching styles in conversations with colleagues. By putting yourself out there, your coaching skills will grow. You will then share what you learned from your practice in a short video for our community, where we will give you feedback.
Question
Our next round of The LEADcoach Challenge starts on April 7, 2025 with the first of two 90-minute workshops at 6 pm GMT+8. You join by becoming a member of the Grow3Leaders community of practice. We suggest that you join as soon as possible to familiarize yourself with our community and platform first.
As a member, you will have immediate access to The LEADcoach Challenge and all our other leadership challenges and resources. You can join directly from our landing page by purchasing our monthly membership plan. Corporate access is also possible: please reach out to explore how your company can arrange that for a group of staff.
My question for you this week is simply this: are you going to invest in learning the coaching style to become an effective leader in your workplace? If that’s a yes, we look forward to seeing you before April 7th in Grow3Leaders for The LEADcoach Challenge!
