Manila, 30 November 2025 — How can you act from an expanded self-awareness?

Story

Last week, I watched a leader celebrate a team member’s small win in a meeting. The energy shifted instantly—smiles, nods, and quiet enthusiasm filled the room.

It wasn’t just about the recognition. The leader had noticed their own impulse to rush past the moment and chose instead to pause and connect. That simple awareness amplified trust and motivation across the team.

It reminded me that leadership isn’t just about results. It’s about noticing ourselves, our reactions, and the moments where we can create space for others. Expanded self-awareness turns small actions into meaningful impact.

Challenge

This week, notice one moment where you can intentionally pause and acknowledge someone or something—big or small.

Take a deep breath. Notice what arises in you—your excitement, your hesitation, your assumptions.

Then choose to act from this awareness. Observe how it shifts the interaction, lifts energy, or deepens connection with others.

Question

How can you act from an expanded self-awareness? What methods can you use?

That’s what we learn and practice in the Grow3Leaders community this month.
