Atem S. Ramsundersingh
Atem S. Ramsundersingh is known for creating business in sustainable development. He brings in more than 25 years of international experience in leading business and project development in emerging economies in Asia and around the world.
As Chairman of the Asia-Europe Dialogue and Exchange for Sustainable Development Foundation, he has worked with senior business and government leaders to engage cultural change as a key for success in investment projects to build urban coalitions for sustainable development.
He is currently CEO of WEnergy Global Pte Ltd, a one-stop provider of renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro and bio-systems) and energy-efficiency technologies, offering technology, global business development and financial resources to clients in Asia and beyond.
Earlier, he held leading positions in the World Bank Group and UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, and was CEO of Turiya Technologies Pte Ltd.
Mr. Ramsundersingh holds a Masters Degree in Infrastructure Engineering of Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands. He received certificates from Harvard Business School for leading change and organizational renewal, and from the Industrial Executive Learning Centre of Cambridge University in sustainable development leadership.
He is a national of the Netherlands and grew up in an Asian family in Surinam. After receiving his education in the Netherlands, he has worked in more than 60 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.
He lives in Singapore and travels for work in Asia.
